GCC Health Insurance

Health insurance policies are becoming compulsory across the GCC as government’s seek to transfer the burden of medical care to the private sector.  With new legislation comes new regulatory regimes and here is the challenge for insurers. Government’s are rightly asking for more from insurance companies – for proof of financial stability, policy terms and conditions that go beyond the norm and that companies register locally. The days of offshore policies into GCC markets are coming to an end and so are the futures of some of the less solvent firms and even major international comanies are questioning their future in the region.
